For you and us, there is no change and that means that if you would like to send your children to our Preschool, you are allowed to and we would welcome that. If you want to check that link, its here for you: Schools in Greater Sydney (nsw.gov.au)

Can I send my Children to Preschool (COVID and Lockdown)

updated 18 July, 2021

In short, YES YOU CAN if you would like to. Our school is an Essential Service and the NSW Government Health Advice states that “Schools are open for Families that need it” here’s their link for you: Schools in Greater Sydney (nsw.gov.au) Please remember a few important things like:

  • please wear a mask when you are at preschool

  • keeping your children at home if they are unwell

  • remember to sanitize (yourself and your children) at every opportunity

  • checking in and out (with the QR code) when you drop off and pick at our preschool

Checking-In (using the QR code)

updated 13 July, 2021

These are frustrating times for sure, and if we can ask for you to please check-in when you enter our preschool no matter how long you are there for, then that will help us all end this health situation as quickly as we can. Thanks a bunch!

Small World Play

updated 13 July, 2021

You may have heard of it before, but what actually is it, and why is it important to children’s development?

Small world play means using small toys such as vehicles, animals and figurines and placing them into a miniature setting to enable children to enact different scenes and situations. For example, feeding time at the farm, construction zone, home life, shopping, etc.

Whether using purpose-made toys or going with a more DIY option, small world play is a way to keep young children entertained for big blocks of time. But it’s also an important developmental opportunity.

Why is it important? Small world play allows children to engage and develop a number of different areas of their brains all at once, and all while having a really fun time. Even better, it encourages interaction between children to build social skills and develop multiple young minds at the same time.

There can be lots of questions around how CCS works and how families qualify. The link here Child Care Subsidy - Services Australia will provide all the intricacies for you, and there is a handy calculator that can give you an indication on how it might work for you and your family.

NB: This used to be called Childcare Rebate and Child Care Benefit (CCR and CCB), but these 2 x systems stopped in July 2018 and have been rolled into one system now, called CCS.
